Congratulations on the purchase of your new TwEECer!

There are a few things you need to know about your TwEECer to begin using it.

First off, please note that the software you need to use your TwEECer can be obtained by downloading it from our web site (www.v8mustang.com) under the downloads section.  If you have a problem getting the software from our web site, it is also available from www.tweecer.com .  You must download and install the Borland Database Engine, which is also available for download from our site, before installing the TwEECer software.  While you are on the download section of our web site, please download and review the TwEECer manual as it goes over how to install the TwEECer on your EEC.

Secondly, you need to remember that your TwEECer is coming to you blank.  There is no program pre-defined on it.  Your switch selector has 5 positions.  Position #1 is marked with a dot, position #5 bypasses the TwEECer and uses your stock EEC.  After installing your TwEECer, put the switch into position #1, click on “READ EEC” in CalEdit, then click “WRITE TWEECER”.  This will write your factory EEC program to program #1.  Now you’re ready to start editing!  Repeat as necessary for positions #2 - #4.

If you have purchased a TwEECer RT there are a few tasks you need to perform in order to datalog.  Follow these steps in order:

  • Go to the utilities tab
  • Select up to 16 variables to datalog
  • Click the Payload button and all of the checkboxes will clear, the payload is ready
  • Click the Datalogging checkbox next to the Write TwEECer button, before you write the binary to the TwEECer
  • Click Write TwEECer, the payload will be written to the TwEECer along with the custom binary you have created
  • Start CalCon
  • Select the correct RT Method that matches your processor or strategy from the drop down pick list under the "Log to File" checkbox
  • Click the Log to File checkbox (optional) if you want to log to disk
  • click Start Logging
  • Start engine

    ** Notes **
  • Once a payload is created, it is available to be added to any binary and will remain the same until you change it. You have to build the entire payload each time you want to change even just one variable. I will be adding the ability to save payloads that can be selected from a list.

If you have any questions pertaining to the installation of software/hardware then please feel free to email ben@v8mustang.com.

Finally, thank you for your order!
